I really enjoyed this one. It was well written and you did believe that the person was writing from personal experience. But it wasn't just a succession of jobs, he was involved with the ladies in question and there was a side-plot which kind of linked it all together. An enjoyable read. | 9 of 20 people found this review helpful. | Was this helpful to you? Yes / No |
This one's a keeper Tuesday, 8 September 2009 - LittleMinx | |
Now, this. This is a dirty book I can truly appreciate. “Adventures of a London Call Boy” by Ben Franckx.
The premise is basically a guy (with a very high sex drive) who finds himself in need of income more or less stumbles into a career as a call boy. So you get the sampler platter of partners and experiences. Some misadventure as he figures out his best business practices. And a little high drama ending when he gets tangled up with the wrong person. Simple, yes. But written believably. At least enough to qualify as quality escapism.
There’s real actual plot happening. Plenty of sex. But not so much that it overwhelms everything else. But when the sex does happen. Um. Yeah. It’s good. It’s really good. There were only a few times when I lost track of where hands and mouths were, but each time, once I went back and re-read carefully, the conversation in my head when something like…
“Wait, his hands were where?”
“Oh, I see, his hands were.”
“Oh.”
“OMG”
This one is definitely a keeper. It’s not unusual for me to loan a book once I’ve read it, but not this one. This little baby is staying on my bookshelf. Or maybe, it’s landing in the pile of porn and other reading material I keep in my bathroom for when I’m enjoying a long hot bath. http://www.arousaloftheminx.com/ | 21 of 40 people found this review helpful. | Was this helpful to you?
